Travel Wishlist! Part 1

Hi there lovelies :)

This is the first post in a series that I will be doing on places that I would love to travel to and wish I could afford to do now!

My first travel wish is to explore America, however, it is a little too big of an adventure, thus, I will be doing a few posts on the different places I would like to visit in the States :)

The first stop for me would have to be Orlando, Florida! Mainly because this is going to be my dream honeymoon when we can finally afford to get married and have one :) (although to be quite honest this is due to my obsession with Disney and Harry Potter so I need to go to the theme parks, and what better time to do it!!)

Disneyland will be my first stop for theme parks in Florida, it just sounds so amazing when people describe it to me! And just look at that picture it is beautiful!

And of course Universal Studios would be the next on my list and that is due to my never ending obsession with Harry Potter, in 2012 I went to Harry Potter Studios in Watford and ever since I have wanted to re visit and I of course have never stopped dreaming of the one in Florida!! Harry Potter was a huge part of my childhood and it gives me peace to re live the calm the books gave me as a child when I needed to escape the real world :) If only I could actually have my wedding at the theme park in America! Alas, that would be too expensive!

Not only is it the theme parks of Orlando that make me dream of a honeymoon there, but the beautiful weather and relaxing atmosphere (although I will be planning my trip for the cooler times of the year). I just know that this is the best place for our honeymoon as we love having things to see and do :)

If anybody has any recommendations I would love to hear them!! (although my wedding hasn't even been planned the honeymoon is chosen ;) just need ideas of how to go about it!)

Amazing trip to York! :)

Cliffords Tower

Hello there! I am so sorry it has taken me so long to update this month! However, I do have a valid excuse as a lot has happened this month :)

My partner and I went on a trip to York last week which was amazing! We fell in love with the city almost instantly, it reminded us so much of our time in Chester but with more history to be seen around the city. Our hotel was situated near to Cliffords Tower so it was one of the first things we saw on our walk from the Station (aside from the walls of course). Thankfully we visted York whilst the country had the bout of lovely spring time weather, so lots of beautiful blue skies in photos :)

I love visiting places that have lots of history to be seen and explored, therefore, York seemed like one of the best places for me to go on a budget. I love the Tudor history and I know that a lot happened in York during Henry VIII's reign, the disillusionment of Catholic Abbey's and Churches for one, so it was lovely to be able to view the remains of St Mary's Abbey.

I won't bore you all with the lots of details about our trip! I will however say that it is worth going to the York Museum as there are so many interesting things to see and I would definitely recommend the Chocolate Fondue in York's Chocolate Story!

Now as for the second reason of my lack of blogging since the beginning of the month was the preparation for our trip to York and then having to see family and friends to give some good news!

But to make up for it here are some beautiful pictures from York!

Little Ramble

Hi again! I apologise for the quiet bout! But last month I finally moved in to my new "home" with my parents. You may wonder why I have put "home"...well I do not plan on staying for long as I am itching to move out again in to a new home with my partner Ryan! (I am not enjoying the long distance thing at all).

It has taken me all month to sort my room out the exact way I want it in between work and sorting out gifts for Ryan's birthday and Valentine's day! I am excited to visit York next week and I will probably have a little post about the beautiful city and the things we got up to there :)

I have also decided in the past month to take a more positive outlook on life, on my instagram I have decided to take part of the #100happydays :) I am going to take something positive from each day and prove that life isn't always miserable as I have allowed it to get me down for the past 6 months or so...

I am also making positive choices in my life, I have begun my driving lessons again and I have given myself a target of when I would like to pass by so that my life I can start properly, as once I have done this I can look for a place with Ryan (this way we won't have to worry about how far out from town we are considering neither of us drive at the moment).

I apologise for my little ramble today, however, I suppose it gives you a little glimpse in to my life at the moment after being so quiet. Although I have been quiet on here I have been reading some pretty inspirational blogs recently! Here they are if you fancy a quick read...my friend Anneka sheds some light on the graduate blues! And one of my favourite bloggers Wonderful You has been sharing such inspirational life stories recently!

Valentine's

This may not be your usual Valentine's day post. However, I hope you read on to see just what the day should really be about.

It seems as though Valentine's day has lost its meaning. It is meant to be a day to spend with your loved one, yet it has become so commercialised...in couples they expect to receive gifts as they believe that this is what Valentine's day is all about. Yes it is nice to recieve a gift or gifts, however, I do believe that every one of us should tell our loved ones how we feel each and every day (not just one day a year) and of course show them  how we feel!

This probably seems like an extremely negative post about romance and Valentine's day...it really isn't. Every day is an opportunity to tell people we love them, one day shouldn't be more special than others just so that we may recieve gifts.

So I say make everyday a valentine's day by showing appreciation to loved ones! ♥

January Blues!

Well it is coming to the end of January and what a relief! January has to be one of the most depressing months as everyone struggles for money and the winter chill sets in even more. Thus, everyone begins dreaming of summer and the holidays they want to take... In work at the moment we are being asked to think about the time off we want for this years holidays and I just do not have a clue...I keep being reminded that July and August will book up fast (which is true they have), however, I never really think about holidays for then as I am just too fair skinned and can only cope with certain amount of heat. The joys of being a red head!!

However, the summer months are by favourite by far as I do not have to cover up some of the beautiful clothes I have with coats and jackets (unless it is raining which is the usual for England). I have many fond memories of holidays taken even if I don't cope well with heat and everyone always asks the same question "Have you been on holiday this year?" (usually once I have arrived back). Why yes, yes I have...I just don't tan!

Views like this on holidays are always amazing! I go away to explore and learn about different cultures! I know summer is not everyone's favourite season, but I know that it is for many!

So do not worry, January is almost gone and we are getting closer to the summer months!

What are your plans for the summer? ;)

Wishes and life wants!♥

This post is a little different to my usual... (please bare with me as it will seem abstract and won't make a lot of sense probably).

There are so many things I have been thinking about lately (to do with life). I keep planning for a future that isn't certain... I definitely believe that adult life is scary after being at university, I don't feel that I was ready for the world and just how difficult it would be to start a life. Of course I knew that I would be living at home for a while and a job wouldn't just fall in to my lap. But what I wasn't ready for...I never dreamt that I would be waiting and hoping to get started on finding a home and possibly getting engaged and married (no this isn't happening, just things I keep dreaming about). I just want to build a life with my boyfriend and I am so ready for that!

I constantly look in home stores for inspiration on how I would decorate my home (it doesn't help that I am in the middle of moving house and want to update my bedroom furniture). I keep seeing friends getting engaged or moving in together, and I'm sat here like...whattt I can't even get a full time job and they're getting a house.

I know that there are probably loads of people out there feeling the exact same things. I'm 22 and I still don't feel like an adult because I don't have my own home or what I call a real job.

Is adult life all its cracked up to be? I don't know but I am definitely excited to find out and have new adventures :)

My New Saviour!

Today's blog post is a bit different to normal as it is more towards lifestyle than fashion, beauty or travel!

For Christmas I received a few recipe books (I think people are getting me ready for when I eventually re-move out of my parents!)

So far my favourite has been Ramen, Udon and Beyond as I absolutely love trying the different dishes in Wagamamas. The recipes are actually really simple to follow and so quick to make!    AMAZING.

It is definitely a taste sensation! Now of course unless you live somewhere that you are able to find some of the ingredients...you can always try and get them from Amazon as this has also been suggested to me :)

I would definitely recommend this cookbook for quick, simple and relatively healthy meals :)
