Nail Hospital!

My nails have always been weak and easily broken and I have tried that many hardening polishes I had given up hope of ever having stronger nails. That is until recently! I saw an advert for Rimmel's Nail Rescue polish in Glamour magazine and decided to give it a go. Its a two week treatment, on the first day you apply one coat of varnish to your nails, on the second day you apply another coat of varnish to your nails. Nothing else is done for the week until the seventh day in which you take the varnish off and have a day of rest. Then repeat the week over.

And I must say thaf my nails may not be perfectly strong, they are a lot stronger than they originally were! I am so impressed. It may have cost just under £5 but I believe it was definitely worth the money!

My miracle product for my nails! Xx

Laughter is the best form of medicine.

So on Saturday evening my partner and I went to see Jimmy Carr at Birmingham Symphony Hall. We had a great time! Considering we waited a year and a half I think it was definitely worth the wait! :) although I have seen a previous show of his live before, my partner hasn't. It was good to see him enjoy his birthday present :)

This is such a short post but I don't want to say much without ruining it for people who are yet to see this years show or those wanting to buy the dvd!

Recommend a watch! Xx

Ps. I didn't take many photos I was too bisy laughing to remember!  Xx

The End of an Era...

So on Tuesday I finally moved everything out of my university home in Chester. It's been a wonderful three years that have now unfortunately come to an end. For those of you reading this who are just about to start their university life or wondering whether it is for them, I will tell you a few things about my university life...

I know in one of my earlier posts I complained about being a graduate and trying to find a job, however, that does not mean I regret my time at university. Freshers is definitely the time for partying! (I sometimes wonder how I managed to pass first year or how I actually managed to have any money). University is a place where you will make many friends. Throughout the three years you could find that these friendship groups change but there will always be those few that will be there no matter what.

If anybody reading this post is off to the University of Chester I will tell you now that you will love it! It's such a beautiful city, and I am really sad to leave. I have so many good memories that I will cherish forever, along with the friends I made a long the way♥ I hope that the freshers beginning their university lives enjoy it as much as us graduates did! It really is the best time of your life :)

Will leave some pictures of Chester as it is just so beautiful! Mixed in with some of the amazing memories I have from my time there :) xx

The scenic pictures of Chester are courtesy of my friend Clare.

Purple Obsession

As most of my friends know I love the colour purple, so when one of my favourite bloggers Copper Garden opened her own shop with hand dyed clothes I just had to have a purple kimono! (I've been after a kimono anyway, so why not incorporate my favourite colour with my slight obsession for tie dye! The perfect kimono for me :) yay!)

The order process was quick and simple, and considering Copper Garden is dying these from scratch they arrive pretty quickly too! So very impressed and will definitely purchase from there again! Recommend to anyone :)

You can find the shop here.

Hope you like the stuff as much as I do! Xx

Graduate Life

I'm going to do the generic graduate blog now. During A Levels we were constantly told that having a degree would further our careers etc. Now that I have graduated with a pretty decent degree I have applied for so many jobs, most them I have not heard back from, yet out of them all I had 2 interviews. Both rejections and no reasons why. I have also had email rejections. Why were we not told before leaving university just how horrible these rejections were going to be! Constant knockbacks to our confidence, what is it that makes our generation so unemployable?

I'm sure there are many of you out there that are going through the exact same things. I wish there was a handy guide to help graduates find jobs or even internships. Every reply is about not having enough experience, however, how are we meant to gain experience if no one is willing to give us a chance?

Sorry for the rant type blog today! Graduate life is harder than I thought it would be!

Hope everyone else is having better luck! Xx

Shakespeare Town!

So I spent today wandering around Stratford-Upon-Avon visiting all the places of Shakespeare. I felt inclined to do so, due to being a recent English Graduate and I have never done it before. It was really interesting to find out facts about Shakespeare that I had never heard and had never been discussed in lectures etc! I absolutely loved all the cute shops that were around! I was gutted a vintage shop wasn't open, had spotted some nice pieces through the window (I will have to go back at some point!). I loved the fact that one of the shops went on about magic etc :) it fed my little Harry Potter obsession (oops)! Hope you like the little pictures I took! :) xx

Wishlist!

My wishlist will consist of clothing and a hope for a job! Being a recent graduate is harder than I thought it would be when I signed up to go to university three years ago! It was made to sound that getting a job would be so much easier with a degree! I really wish it was that simple, feels like all I have been doing is filling out applications and going to interviews, and still nothing. So a wishlist of all the clothes I would like to buy when I finally find a job will have to suffice for now, instead of the actual clothes!

I won't use the pictures from the websites as I do not want to have a copyright infringement, instead I will set up links to take you to the items I am loving at the moment! :)

Crop Top - Hype @ Topshop
Kimono - Topshop
T-shirt - River Island
Boots - Missguided
Disco Pants - Missguded

These are just a few things I have been loving at the moment! No doubt I will come across more! Seem to always find clothes when I have no money.

Hope you love these pieces too! xx

Statement Trousers

So the other month I splashed out on some statement trousers (something I have never worn before, yet I fell in love with them straight away). I finally found an excuse to wear them on Tuesday night.

Trousers: Topshop, Top: New Look, Shoes: Topshop.

Not only was this my first time for wearing printed trousers, but also the first time I have actually worn a crop top, decided it was time to try something new. I love the tribal pattern of these trousers, it's mainly the reason why I fell in love with them in the first place.

For a more casual day time look I would wear them with a baggy white t-shirt, a blue blazer (to bring out the blue of the pattern), a chunky necklace and a pair of flats.

For ideas on the blazer and top I would go for something like this:

Hope you like the trousers as much as I do! :) xx
