Graduation Day!!

After three years of hard work my graduation day finally came around! I decided to wear a blue Topshop dress (it can be found here).

After all the rain on Wednesday (unfortunate for the graduates that day), I was glad to wake up yesterday to sunshine, although it was freezing! It was such a lovely ceremony and it was amazing to see everyone again! I felt like I should have been in Hogwarts in my cap and gown, especially with the Cathedral being used! It is such a beautiful place to graduate in!

Now that my degree has been made official, adult life seems a lot scarier! However, I will always have my memories of my three years at the University of Chester and our graduation ceremony!

All Quiet...

I realise I have been extremely quiet on my blog this month...I've been busy working and hunting for a career I'd like to begin! However I feel to make up for it I can do a little haul post :) October is my birthday month so I definitely cannot complain about not having new things :) Hopefully I can put some of them in to outfit posts :)

Here are the pictures of my haul this month :)
Items include: blue and green tartan scarf (from Edinburgh Woolen Mill), the complete boxset of Gossip Girl, a ring for my birthday :), 2 MUA eye paletes. (My haul also includes a couple of pairs of boots, however I feel like keeping these as a surprise for future outfit posts!)

Sorry about my quiet front, planning on sorting my blog out soon!

Toughened Up Girly

Jacket: River Island (Few months old), Top: Topshop (Few months old), Skirt: Miss Selfridge (Old), Boots: Topshop (Old) and Necklace: New Look (Fairly new).

This is my first outfit post in a while and I decided to go a little more in-depth with my outfit pictures. I picked this outfit today as it is still slightly summery for autumn this week. I'm loving the last few rays of sunshine (although my legs can't take the slight chill hence the tights!).

I've had this skirt for almost a year now and I've been trying to find things to go with it for almost that long! I love the Aztec pattern on it and the colour is so nice and it goes with autumn in my eyes.

I decided to toughen up my outfit with my favourite studded jacket, its not too hot for a jacket or too cold either and I think this one is the right amount of cover in this weather! Of course my Chelsea Boots help to also toughen up the girly parts of the outfit :)

Hope you like this outfit as much as I do! (Had a lot of fun picking it out!) :)

Autumn Nails

So I have been on the hunt for a new nail colour to start my autumn nails. I found a gorgeous colour in the Maybelline collection! Midnight Red in Forever Strong Pro. It reminds me of the colours of the leaves in autumn :) not only is it good quality and a nice colour, it also doesn't take much from your pocket as it is less than £5. I think this is going to be my go to colour this year!

Hope you guys like it xx

Poor Hair :(

I hate to give a product a bad review,  however, I do feel other people with curly hair need to know the products that are good and the ones that aren't. Due to the recent humidity my hair has been completely uncontrollable and frizzy (which just makes me look slightly poodleish). So I bought Curls Rock Amplifier by Tigi, following the instructions it says to use on dry ends to de-frizz. Whilst it does de-frizz the hair it also makes it crunchy and sticky, not really the look I was going for.

I am still trying to find the perfect product to de-frizz my hair on unruly days, alas, I am yet to find it.

If anyone has any suggestions for good products to use on dry hair when curls frizzy I would love to hear about them!

Sorry for the horrible review :( xx

Nail Hospital!

My nails have always been weak and easily broken and I have tried that many hardening polishes I had given up hope of ever having stronger nails. That is until recently! I saw an advert for Rimmel's Nail Rescue polish in Glamour magazine and decided to give it a go. Its a two week treatment, on the first day you apply one coat of varnish to your nails, on the second day you apply another coat of varnish to your nails. Nothing else is done for the week until the seventh day in which you take the varnish off and have a day of rest. Then repeat the week over.

And I must say thaf my nails may not be perfectly strong, they are a lot stronger than they originally were! I am so impressed. It may have cost just under £5 but I believe it was definitely worth the money!

My miracle product for my nails! Xx

Laughter is the best form of medicine.

So on Saturday evening my partner and I went to see Jimmy Carr at Birmingham Symphony Hall. We had a great time! Considering we waited a year and a half I think it was definitely worth the wait! :) although I have seen a previous show of his live before, my partner hasn't. It was good to see him enjoy his birthday present :)

This is such a short post but I don't want to say much without ruining it for people who are yet to see this years show or those wanting to buy the dvd!

Recommend a watch! Xx

Ps. I didn't take many photos I was too bisy laughing to remember!  Xx
